Look Alikes.

So I have to say I am not sure of how this look alike meter thingy works but it is still fun to see....

I am not sure about Ella looking equally like us when I believe everyday she looks more like her dad. She was just blessed with my porcelain skin. ha ha ha. I kid. I kid.

Savannah on the other hand looks identical to me as a young girl. She saw pictures of me around her age and actually thought it was her. So did other people. Amazing huh??

Anywho. I just thought everyone would get a kick out of seeing these comparisons.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I have some great new pics to post but I just haven't had the time to get around to them. I suspect I will sometime Saturday afternoon. Maybe during naps since Cody will be home and they never seem to nap at the exact same time. Grrrr. Again I kid.

We are taking Savannah to see "Horton Hears A Who" this weekend. It will be her first movie going experience. So expect a post on it. She has been talking about it all week. In fact she has a poster in her room and is convinced the "who" on it is her new best friend and she has been having insane dreams about their adventures. I swear to you its time for her to make more friends. I am on a mission to find her some pals her age.......any takers??? She is a lot of fun and this mommy makes great snacks. he he he.

Also I just have to rant about the mini shopping carts at Smiths. Tonight Sa-Nana and I made a run for dinner (Subway) and then to Smiths for a few things. She decides she is a "shopping girl" and repeatedly tells me to "get your hands off my cart" after I try to keep avoiding repeated collisions with the bread, poultry, bakery and other customers. Then she decides "I need to pick up cotton candy." Cute that she was so determined, organized, what have you but let me just say we had to do a search for it and it was not to be found. Anyhow I hate the mini carts and had to complain because it seems like it took a lifetime to get on out of there! Grrrr again.

Love to all. I am off to bed in a bit. Have a great FRIDAY!

I love you to the moon and back....

So I am up late tonight and shouldnt be. I am off to bed after I post this. Cody is on nights and I always hesitate about going to bed when he isn't in bed too!

Anyway I have to tell this cute little story Savannah told me so that I have record of it later. I am putting her to bed last weekend and I tell her "I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK, A ZILLION TIMES!"

She proceeds to tell me that she actually went to the moon a couple days ago with Petey. Petey is a MONSTER and her imaginary friend. When Petey first surfaced I worried a bit....I have heard stories about imaginary friends. But she never blames him for anything and never is unhappy about him. He is just a friend.......all 2 inches of him. (she claims thats his height)

Back to the story at hand. She and Petey went to the moon and watched me (mommy) and then came back down. And it only cost her "fifty dollars!" She says that is a good deal!

I just love small children and their zest for life! Its amazing to hear the things and stories that come out of her mouth at times. I love it. I just need to be better at documenting them for future reference (i.e. Blackmail for when she is dating, etc.)

So we love all of you reading this to the moon and back!

XOXOXO

WE HATE ELK!

So I should have taken a picture of our car after this, but didn't because it was a crazy weekend and the car got taken into the shop early the following week.

We decided to go up to Salt Lake a few weeks ago, instead of leaving early Sat. AM as we had decided earlier in the day, we decided last minute to just go that night instead so we could get more done, see more family, etc.

There has been much snow in Utah this year. It seems more than usual, at least in Carbon County. So the animals have really been coming down from the mountains. We were in the last stretch of the canyon, turned a corner and wouldn't you know it, there is an ELK! Behind that elk were 4 more ELK! So there was no escaping an encounter with at least one of them!

Cody being the fantastic driver that he is, got over as far to the right as he could. However there was a big hill and lots of snow to the right. We both braced and I reached for the girls but it was too late we hit the damn thing!

We were very lucky about the actual impact of the crash. We basically clipped his head. He took off our drivers side mirror and trashed our windshield! It could have been so much worse! Cody and I both surely thought he was going to have an elk in his lap, either through the windshield or the drivers window.

We feel very blessed that it happened the way it did and that we were in the Durango. Had we been in a car we would not have been so lucky! So now we dont like to drive the canyon really at all and especially not at night. Its such a dangerous road to begin with and you forget sometimes about the wildlife making it dangerous as well!

Ella slept through the entire incident, Savannah however is now terrified of going into the mountains! Every time we get into the car even when we announce where we are headed fifty times before, she will ask "we going into the mountains?" "I dont yike the mountains!" So the next time we go into the mountains we will be sure its nap time maybe!

I really cant wait for spring/summer! The days are longer and the animals will be free to roam!

Ah the sweet life.....

So here is another post. I am still playing catch up. I think it will take me all day, maybe several days!

So over Valentine's Day we made some yummy treats and took them to various friends and family. It was a lot of fun. We made some yummy homemade marshmallows and cupcakes and also a giant cupcake for Jolene(Cody's mama) to take to her secret valentine at work. He was a guy so thats the reason for the green frosting for Valentine's Day!
Also included is a pic of some cupcakes I did really quick for Aunt Donna's (Grandpa Greenwood's sister) Birthday! She loved them so much she sent us a nice thank you card!

I am thinking about doing cakes around the area for a hobby/home business! So if you are wanting some cupcakes, cakes, etc. Let me know. I have some fantastic recipes and LOVE to bake!

Also check out my new craft project. I bought quite a few teacups, fine glasses, etc and little plates that go beneath the teacups, salad plates, etc. I tipped the cup over and epoxied the plate to the top of the cup's bottom. Making a neat little candy dish, serving dish, etc. So I am planning to make more of these and maybe sell them here in town or on Etsy.

I dont care if everyone doesn't like them. I just think they turned out quite cute and they were a ton of fun to make and cost me next to nothing!

Big Milestones for the girls in our life!

So here is an update on the major things happening with the girls lately. It seems like it took forever but Savannah is now potty trained! Actually she has been for quite some time now. We had to work extra hard with her, she is so incredibly smart but this just took her actually wanting it to work!

We finally started a "potty jar" where she got a treat each time she went potty. I think I have bought enough play-doh to own stock in the company. We buy the bags of about a bazillion little cans each holiday. So that has been amusing. We also filled it with candy of course. Can we say "cavity queen?" She still expects a treat now and then from the potty jar. She is also quick to want a treat and tell you "well me go potty before" so she keeps track of how many times she has gone apparently!

We are so proud of her! Next up, learning more of her numbers!

Ella is also crawling and sitting up now. It started as this little pull, scoot and rolling thing and now she is crawling. For a while there she could get anywhere she wanted to in a matter of seconds just by rolling! It was quite funny! However she is still so petite that seeing her crawl almost seems strange. She is just the littlest thing to be down on the ground getting around!

Saturday we went for a drive to East Carbon/Sunnyside/Columbia and then to dinner at the Cowboy Kitchen, where it seems everyone in Carbon County was trying to eat as well. We got home and were getting the girls ready for bed and Ella started doing this mountain crawl.....she would get up really high with her bum in the air like the shape of a mountain and then almost do the splits. I just had to get a picture.

However after taking the picture I realize our little girl is really PALE! I mean we already knew this but its amazing how it looks on camera! Poor little thing taking after her mama........the sun will not be a friend, she will only burn! Anyway we will keep putting up pictures the more we take.

"It's SUMMER!"

Savannah has been begging to go outside and play for quite sometime now. Its hard for her to understand that while the SUN is out, it's not necessarily WARM outside. So we tried to explain this to her. She now thinks the sun is down when its up and that "It's SUMMER!"

We took the girls out to play a couple afternoons ago, and it was quite warm. Savannah gets on her bike, throws her hand in the air and says "Woo-Hoo, IT'S SUMMER!"
It was the funniest thing to see. So I expect we will be spending a lot more time outside as it gets warmer and if you notice she is getting a little big for her trike....someone may be getting a new bike for her birthday. Anyone know where we can find a Strawberry Shortcake one??

I also included a little pic of Cody and Savannah on the 4-Wheeler. She loves it when Daddy is home because he is the "fun" one. When I say "fun", I mean he lets her do things that aren't always allowed or always safe. She is terrified of loud cars, motorcycles, trains, etc. So he wanted to show her that it can be fun and that loud noises are nothing to be afraid of.

When they returned Cody said she had fun and she told me it was "yots of fun!" and "Daddy scare me when he went FAST!" So I would say she had fun! Can't wait for warmer weather soon, so we can go outside and do more fun things with the girls! This summer should be a riot!

Welcome Back.......ME!

As the New Year approached I told myself, "You have to keep up on a blog, so everyone can see what we've been up to!"

As you can see my last entry was Dec 07 and it had nothing to do with anything new happening, no pictures, etc. You get the point. So I am going to try posting something every week. I thought maybe once per day but that may be a little far fetched.

If anyone reading this has a blog as well, email us: airgreenwood@gmail.com, we would love to keep up with you and your family as well!

Wish me luck and maybe just nag me a little to keep up on it if I get behind again!
